In 2016 the City of Surrey changed the renewal process for dog licenses, and this needed to be communicated. After reviewing multiple emails, charts and reports I cut down content to feature key takeaways for residents. As a result the Surrey Now pulled chunks of text from the website almost word for word

New dog licence renewal process

Starting October 2016, all dog licences will be valid from January 1 to December 31 of each year. In late November/ early December 2016, you will receive an annual renewal invoice valid from January 1 to December 31, 2017, whether you have 1 dog or more. Previously dog owners renewed their dog licence on the anniversary of when they first purchased their dog licence.
