In 2020, the City of Surrey was about to launch a new website. There was a new Information Architecture and with that, there were some new landing pages that emerged. I needed to ensure that we had content on the landing pages for launch and a strategy for how our landing pages would be presented.
Approach
Working with stakeholders across the city, I presented the content model for the landing pages, and refined it after working closely with stakeholders.
Result
I created the content model for the landing pages to have a dynamic version or a static version depending on the needs of the business.
Services & Payments would be an example of a static landing page that I put together with the property taxes and utilities team.
Parks & Recreation is one of the landing pages that had to be created from scratch. I guided the teams to work together and create a dynamic promotion schedule to share promotion opportunity.
Before launch I created about 50 of the landing pages and guided several communications staff to create the other approximately 50 in the CMS.
